The eyes are our most revealing facial feature. Hereditary factors and the signs of aging can greatly impact the appearance of our eyes and thus our facial aging. Cosmetic eyelid surgery, technically called blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure that will reveal a more youthful and energetic appearance to the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both.

Upper eyelid surgery can treat loose or sagging skin that creates folds or hides the natural contour of the upper eyelid. In addition, upper lid blepharoplasty can correct excess skin that hangs down and impairs vision, and can reduce excess fatty deposits that appear as puffiness in the upper eyelid.

Lower eyelid surgery can correct bags under the eyes, droopiness of the lower eyelid and excess skin and fine wrinkles of the lower eyelid.

Eyelid surgery is one of our highest patient satisfaction surgeries.  Dr. Peterson will do a Blepharoplasty under either sedation anesthesia or general anesthesia, based on the patient preference.
