Cleft Lip
Approximately 1 in 700 newborns have a congenital cleft lip and/or palate deformity that affect feeding, speech and social development.
Dr. Peterson is the team director of the Topeka Cleft Lip and Palate Team. This team is a recognized member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. The team goal is to ensure that patient's medical, developmental, dental and psychological needs are treated in a coordinated and consistent manner from birth to age 18.
