Laser Rejuvenation

Our DiamondTome ™ microdermabrasion treatment is a resurfacing technique for removing the topmost layer of skin, leaving it supple and vibrant. By gently exfoliating the skin with natural diamond chips, the dead skin cells are vacuumed away in a sterile and controlled manner. Removing this outer layer of dead skin cells leaves a smoother texture and promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells. This procedure requires no downtime and normal activities may be resumed immediately. Your skin will have a radiant glow, and patients experience softer, smoother and cleaner skin after the first treatment.

Our Luminus Quantum IPL laser is a non-invasive treatment done in our office with no downtime. Intense Pulse Light (IPL) can treat broken capillaries, brown pigment spots and chronic redness on the face, neck, chest and hands. Dr. Peterson will recommend 4-6 sessions, about 1 month apart.

The Cooltouch II is an in-office facial laser treatment that works from the inside out! Using a patented technology, a cooling mist protects and cools the outer layer of your skin. The laser energy passes through the skin and triggers a natural collagen formation.  There is no downtime and patients often choose this laser for facial wrinkles as a step towards improved skin tone and texture. Dr. Peterson will recommend 3 treatments approximately one month apart.  The Cooltouch II has also been FDA approved for acne treatment. It effectively targets and shrinks oil glands as well as replenishing collagen to fill in acne scars.

The CO2 Laser is the most dramatic of all skin resurfacing. The skin is fully ablated, meaning the outmost layer of skin (epidermis) is removed. This procedure will allow you to have new, smoother and younger looking skin and will dramatically improve wrinkles and other surface irregularities of the skin such as acne scars. A CO2 laser resurfacing is considered surgery, and is done in an out-patient hospital setting with general anesthesia.  It will take 2-4 weeks to heal and the newly formed skin may be pink and sensitive for many weeks. Absolute sun protection after the procedure is essential.
